Big Book Festival is Poland’s top innovative festival of reading and arts. The ultimate international feast for all book lovers.

Join us for three days of exciting events, performances and talks! The 2021 edition is inspired by the theme of WE WILL BE BEAUTIFUL AGAIN! – the need for hope and trust in a better tomorrow, after tumultuous experience of the pandemic.

We celebrate faith in other people, societies and the power of hopeful stories. Literature can be a tool of getting us together again, being closer and reigniting good faith. Authors and readers meet again to regain pleasure and easiness of being among others. Together we tell an uplifting story of overcoming distress.

That’s what we are all about in this exceptional time of anticipation. Big Book Festival was inaugurated in 2013, it is Poland’s biggest literary celebration run by a small independent NGO – „Kultura nie boli“ Foundation based in Warsaw.

The festival is funded with public and private donations, as well as grants from Polish Ministry of Culture, City of Warsaw and multiple international organizations. Big Book Festival 2021 program consists of 40 events.

All of them are open to the public, you can participate in person. Kindly wear a facemask and disinfect your hands at the entrance to every venue. This year extra measures are compulsory for all the attendees.
